ABOUT US

LINGUA IT is an institution that specialises in teaching Italian to foreigners.  The school’s primary objective is to immerse students in the real language of Italy as it is used everyday by Italians.  Structured around the premise that a language must be lived in order to be fully understood, LINGUA IT proposes a multi-faceted approach to language learning that embraces not only the elements of communication but also the importance of cultural experiences and personal interaction.  With myriad cultural and social activities on offer that traverse the disciplines of music, history, art, literature and modern culture, the institute not only provides students the opportunity to speak Italian but also the opportunity to live the Italian experience.

The school is located in the historical heart of Verona, just a short stroll from Piazza Erbe, one of the town’s most beautiful piazzas which was once the home of the ancient Roman Forum.

Tucked right in the city core, LINGUA IT is close to all services and is surrounded by prestigious boutiques, stylish cafés and Verona’s most important monuments.  The intimacy of a small city such as Verona offers visitors a personalised introduction to the Italian way of life in an aesthetically beautiful environment.   Strategically located, Verona is a great base from which to explore many of the other wonderful cities of Northern Italy and Europe. Venice and Milan are each 1.5 hours away by car and Paris, Berlin and Prague just 2 hours flight from Verona’s international airport.

As well as a vast selection of full and part-time language courses, LINGUA IT organises a comprehensive range of Cultural Courses (art, literature, cinema, etc) and guided tours (art galleries, museums, wineries etc.).  The school also offers students internet access, a vast book and film library, an accommodation-booking service and a student common room. 

LINGUA IT is a member of ASILS (Associazione Scuole di Italiano Seconda) the most prestigious and recognised association in Italy dedicated to monitoring and maintaining a high standard amongst schools that teach Italian to foreign students.
