 ACE was established in Sydney, Australia, in 1981.  It has gained a world-wide reputation for the exceptional quality of its teachers,  and for the care and support it gives to its students.

ACE has campuses in Sydney, Perth and Brisbane. It also has direct-entry centres with The Illawarra Grammar School, Wollongong (Sydney) and St Paul's Grammar School, Melbourne.

ACE also has links with a number of excellent universities and business colleges.

ACE's teacher-training division, Australian TESOL Training Centre [ATTC], established in 1983 offers University of Cambridge qualifications in Teaching English as a Foreign Language. It was the first accredited University of Cambridge centre in Australia, and is now one of the largest TESOL training centres in the world.

ACE is the first Australian member of the exclusive International Association of Language Colleges (IALC).
