The School
Our school extends over two floors and houses 22 light and spacious classrooms. The rooms can be fitted out with a TV, LCD projector, DVD and/or video player, PC and an interactive whiteboard as required.
In 2002 PROLOG was accepted as an affiliate of International House World Organisation. The main aims of this affiliation of over 130 language schools from more than 40 countries around the world is to improve the quality of language teaching through co-operation, exchange and the regular development and training of language teachers.

STANDARDGroup tuition with five to ten students, five days a week, with four 45-minute teaching sessions per day. What the course covers:Each day includes a two-teaching-hour grammar session and a two-teaching-hour conversation session with a 15-minute break inbetween. How the course is organised:The course takes place from 10:00 to 13:15 or from 14:00 to 17:15 and is taught by two teachers, who rotate in the middle of the week. • Dates & pricesSTANDARD PLUSGroup tuition with five to ten students, five days a week with four + two 45-minute teaching sessions per day. What the course covers:Each day includes a two-teaching-hour grammar session and a two-teaching-hour conversation session. In addition, there is a third session which, during the course of a week, covers reading comprehension, writing, and oral communication in authentic situations. How the course is organised:The course takes place from 09:00 to 15:30 and is taught by two teachers, who rotate in the middle of the week. There is a 15-minute morning break and a 45-minute lunch break. • Dates & pricesGALAGroup tuition with five to ten students, on two days per week with two 45-minute teaching sessions per day. What the course covers:The course includes two teaching sessions per week, one focussing on grammar, the other on conversation. How the course is organised:GALA courses take place on two weekday evenings. Depending on your level, these run from 18:00 to 19:30 or from 19:30 to 21:00 • Dates & pricesDOUBLEGroup tuition with five to ten students, with 24 teaching sessions spread over five days, including two sessions in the evening. What the course covers:Two teaching sessions per day cover grammar and two are devoted to conversation practice. The two evening sessions are both 90 minutes long and take place with a second group. How the course is organised:The DOUBLE course has the same profile as our STANDARD course, with two additional teaching sessions on weekday evenings, either from 18:00 to 19:30 or from 19:30 to 21:00, taught in rotation. • Dates & pricesCOMBIGroup tuition with a maximum of ten students. 20 45-minute teaching sessions over five weekdays, with an additional 45-minute teaching session per day. What the course covers:There are two 45-minute teaching sessions per day devoted to grammar and two devoted to conversation practice. The content of the additional 45-minute session can be agreed upon by you and the teacher to complement the content of the group tuition. How the course is organised:Group tuition takes place Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 13:15, with the single teaching sessions in the afternoons. As with our other courses, teachers will rotate in the middle of the week. • Dates & pricesFIRST CLASS I/IIFive days of one-to-one tuition per week with either 20 (FC I) or 30 (FC II) 45-minute teaching sessions per week. What the course covers:Every aspect of grammar, lexis, and communicative skills will be covered in the four or six teaching sessions per day. How the course is organised:FC I runs from 10:00 to 13:15 and FC II from 10:00 to 15:30 each day, and is taught by two teachers, who rotate in the middle of the week. • Dates & pricesSPECIAL COURSESFrom one to five days of group tuition, with up to five teaching sessions per day. In addition to our general German courses, PROLOG also offers courses related to specific topics: Business German, Literature, "What I always wanted to know", Phonetics and Cultural Geography are some of the core themes covered from 09:00 to 09:45 each weekday. These courses can be booked individually or weekly in The school office. Leisure activities and culture programmeGroup activities, like city-tours, visits to museums, day-trips and sport, as well as film and social evenings, are all extracurricular activities you can take part in. One of our teachers will always be with you, and, apart from entrance fees, it won't cost you a cent.

The school is really easy to get to, whichever route you take. The school is
situated in what was West Berlin, in one of the most beautiful districts, which
also happens to be one of the liveliest quarters of the city - Schöneberg. Ideal
connections to the public transportation network mean that all destinations are
no more than a stone's throw away: IH Berlin PROLOG is just a couple of minutes
away from the underground and local rail stations on Schöneberg's Hauptstraße.
We
have carefully selected all of our teachers according to their academic and
language abilities, as well as the way they relate to their students. The
competence and experience of our German teachers is of particular importance:
teaching qualifications are important, as is extensive experience teaching
German as a foreign language at renowned schools and institutions. Many of our
German teachers have already completed our Teacher Training programme.
