My name is Susanne and I am a secondary
teacher for English, German, Geography and German as a foreign/second
language. I have worked in several secondary schools and I have taught
both age-groups from 10-18 and adults on different levels.
You can have one-to-one tuition or lessons in small groups in the
mornings and we can do excursions in the afternoons.
As we have many facilities in our town, I am sure,
you will never get bored.
Facilities: Indoor- and outdoor pool with a long flume, an icerink in
winter, a horse riding club (our kids are members). You can play tennis,
minigolf, squash or badminton and there is a gym. We provide bikes for
those who like cycling.
My family and I would like to become your hosts so you can live in a
German family and experience our way of life and culture and learn our
language. We want to invite you to a beautiful region in the middle of
Germany which is called Siegerland. The main city is Siegen and it is 95
km east of Cologne and 120 north of Frankfurt. We offer nice and clean
accomodations with bath and SAT-TV. Meals can be included but if you
prefer to cook yourself you will be able to, as we offer an additional
kitchen for our guests.
Example for a day at our home:
8-9 a. m: Breakfast with students, talks
9-10.30 a. m. : lessons (speaking, writing, listening and reading)
10.30-10.45: break
10.45 - 12.15: lessons
12.15-1 p. m: free
1 -1.30 p. m.: lunch with students, talks
afternoons: either doing some excursions or students go shopping,
swimming, cycling etc.
6.30 - 7.00 p. m: dinner/bbq with students and my family, talks
evenings: different activities like walking, chatting, reading
