I’ m from Russia , from Moscow. I decided to come to Thessaloniki to study the Greek language, as I always liked Greece very much and was thinking of the opportunity to come there to live. So, I found Alexander Language Schools and came here.

Katerina was very kind to me and really very helpful in every way. She took care of me like my second mother. She helped me find accommodation and I really appreciate this.

The most amazing thing were my lessons of Greek with Despina. She is absolutely a fantastic person : kind, open minded, funny. I think that all these things helped her to teach me better and easier. So, coming for lessons with her was like meeting an old friend. But of course, I want to stress that she is a real professional and has a very interesting approach to teaching, which I guess is more desirable for grown up people like me, because it makes the process of studying involving and thrilling..

With Despina I discovered a lot of things about Greek people and Greece : traditional Greek cuisine, relations between people, peculiarities of people’s characters here etc. She did not only teach me the Greek language but also showed me traditions and culture of Greece.

I may say that with the help of everybody in Alexander Language School I’ ve got an unforgettable experience.

Moreover I hope it will help me to realize my dream to stay and live in Greece.

My name is Alexandra ( Petar ) Maksimovic.

I’m 25 years old from Belgrade, Serbia. I’m a student at the university of Philology in Belgrade, I’m studying Japanese and English and for two years now I’ ve been learning Greek.

This is something I always wanted to do because I adore Ellada ( Greece ), people, their history, their way of life. I’ ve been taking my lessons in Alexander Language School ( ALS) in Thessaloniki, Greece, and I’ m more than satisfied with this school and especially with my teacher. When I first came here, I couldn’t speak at all but now I can easily communicate with people. We were studying from books ‘ ΕΠΙΚΟΙΝΩΝΗΣΤΕ ΕΛΛΗΝΙΚΑ’ which in my opinion is the best way to learn this language in a good and easy way.

Through my daily lessons, lots of homework and lots of communication with people on classes and outdoors, I’ ve succeeded to get to a really high level of knowledge and not only of language but also of culture, history and life of this country.

My wishes are to continue taking these lessons in order to make my greek perfect if possible and who knows? Maybe a day I will live and work here!
